A SCHOOLBOY axed from classes for over a month for wearing the wrong trousers has started wearing a skirt in protest. Year 10 student Josh Mayer had been wearing the Tesco trousers he had worn throughout last year when he was taken away from his classmates and sent to his school’s “Achievements Centre”. Swavesey Village College, Cambs, said recent changes to its uniform policy had been generally well received, and it was trying to resolve the situation with Josh and his family. She said that the only reason he was taken out of lessons was because he was wearing Tesco trousers rather than the more expensive David Luke ones that can only be bought from the school’s official uniform suppliers.
